Diaries, 1915-1921.

Diaries of John Lillard recording his activities during visits with his family in Bloomington, Illinois; on trips to Kansas, Nebraska, Boston, Philadelphia, and Europe; as a seminarian at General Theological Seminary in New York City (class of 1915); and as an Episcopal clergyman serving parishes in Millinocket, Me. (St. Andrew's Episcopal Mission), and Paris, Ill. (St. Andrew's Episcopal Church). Other subjects include: World War I, when he served as Reserve Army chaplain; his cousin William Jennings Bryan; and his work with an Illinois boy scout troop as scoutmaster. Numerous pictures and other items are pasted in the volumes.
